HSBC VAF 2015

Ennovate Global is glad to be associated with HSBC for the Volunteering Action Fortnight for the second consecutive year. A rewind to July 2014 brings up the high-impact flagship volunteering programme package from the National Partner, Ennovate Global (EG) - the HSBC Monsoon Splash VAF 2014 held from July 26 - August 09. EG delivered for HSBC a record 27916 volunteering hours against its requirement of 25000 volunteering hours via its activities, pooling in the skills of EG co-ordinators for the 55 HSBC branches across 28 cities, in 11 exciting activities, engaging experts on the subject across all cities and branches. EG also created a transparent, effective and defining online MIS system to capture data from its EG co-ordinators, and a website for the HSBC employees to log in and participate in the water audits, play online games and register their feedback.

For 2015, the HSBC VAF focus is CommunityConnect. CommunityConnect is based on the premise that engaging with the community is not only a way to give back to the community but also an engagement which gives it better insight into the needs, challenges and solutions for the surrounding community which impacts the way an organisation conducts its business and strategises the impact of its actions, in the long run.

Community volunteering yields benefits not just to the bank in economic terms, but also to the individuals who involve themselves in such work. Such work satisfies that desire in the best and brightest to use their talent, skills and compassion meaningfully, fulfilling a deep-seated human yearning to contribute. VAF 2015 provides the volunteers with a remarkable opportunity to fulfil this desire by joining hands with our lesser privileged fellow citizens so that progress is inclusive, our nation's development is holistic and we contribute our bit in striving to ensure that a decent life is available to all.

Building on this, Ennovate Global has designed unique and diverse community engagement activities both outdoors and indoors which will not only be a fun change for the employees but also harness their banking expertise and other skills set optimally to the benefit of all - the community and the bank.
